Why the name Samaritan FLIHM? +
The name "FACIM Samaritans" bears our motto of life - to help where we see the need. According to the example of the merciful Samaritan in the Gospel (see LK 10:25-37). The name also bears the "Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary" (FLIHM). We want to be like Mary inflamed by God's love.
What does the green cord mean? +
Our green cingulum (cordon) is a sign of hope, combined with full dedication to Jesus through the four religious vows (four knots) poverty, chastity, obedience and loyalty to the Church's teaching.
When was the foundation? +
Our beginnings go back to 1982, when the first brothers joined together to form a 'Pia Union', a pious association.The establishment as a clerical association took place in 2003 by H. Em. Christoph Cardinal Schönborn in the Archdiocese of Vienna.
Student education? +
With us there is also the possibility of the so-called third educational path.
Is your community recognized by the Church? +
The Community was built in 2003 by St. Em. Christoph Cardinal Schönborn in the Archdiocese of Vienna and is approved as a ecclesiastical clerical society.
Where do you have branches? +
We have branches: Klein-Mariazell, Hafnerberg, Pottenstein, St. Corona am Schöpfl, Retz (Lower Austria) and Hilariberg (Tyrol) and from September 2021 in Altötting (Germany).
