The merciful Samaritan, from the parable of Jesus, is our role model. So we set our talents in this spirit.

Judas ging auf Jesus zu und sagte: „Sei gegrüßt, Rabbi! Und er küsste ihn. Je-sus erwiderte ihm: Freund, dazu bist du gekommen? Da gingen sie auf Jesus zu … und nahmen ihn fest.“

Katechese: Das Bittere am Verrat Jesu war, dass der Verräter aus den eigenen Reihen der Jünger stammte, ein Mensch aus Seiner Umgebung war, Sein Freund und Vertrauter. Doch Jesus reagierte liebevoll, ohne Groll. Er nannte ihn „Freund“ und versuchte so sein Herz anzurühren.

Überlegung: Der hl. Johannes vom Kreuz wurde von seinem eigenen Mitbruder grausam misshandelt, ge-demütigt und gequält. Als er nach wenigen Wochen im Sterben lag, bat er seinen Mitbruder mit großer Demut um Vergebung für seine Ver-fehlungen und für die Sorge, die er seinen Pflegern verursacht habe. Das traf diesen so sehr, dass auch er um Vergebung bat. Dann ging er weinend aus der Zelle und war von diesem Augenblick an ein anderer Mensch. - Bitte ich Gott um Kraft, den eigenen Freunden vergeben zu können, die mich enttäuscht, alleine gelassen oder tief verletzt haben?

Gebet: Jesus, selbst wenn Vater oder Mutter mich vergäßen, Du liebst mich und gibst mir die Kraft, auch meinen Freunden zu vergeben! Amen.
