„Wir haben ja nicht einen Hohenpriester, der nicht mitfühlen könnte mit unse-rer Schwäche, sondern einen, der in allem wie wir in Versu-chung geführt worden ist, aber nicht gesündigt hat.“

Katechese: In den ersten Jahrhunderten der Chris-tenheit entbrannte ein heftiger Streit, ob Jesus wirklich Mensch ge-wesen sei oder ob Er nur einen Scheinleib angenommen habe. Der Streit wurde beendet mit dem Glaubenssatz auf dem Konzil von Ephesus (431), dass Maria Gottesgebärerin genannt werden darf. Denn Jesus, der aus ihr geboren wurde, ist wahrer Gott und wahrer Mensch. Er fühlte mit unseren menschlichen Gefühlen, weinte über den Unglauben der Stadt Jerusalem, fühlte heiligen Zorn bei der Entweihung des Tempels, erlitt Ängste und Verlassenheit. Aber in allem blieb Er in Gottes Liebe und besiegte alle Versuchungen des Bösen.

Überlegung: „Die Schrift nicht kennen heißt Christus nicht kennen!“ (hl. Hieronymus) - Nehme ich gerne das Evangelium zur Hand, um Jesus kennenzulernen, so, wie Er wirklich auf Erden ge-lebt hat? - Weiß ich, dass Jesus mit meinen Problemen mitfühlt und auf meinen Hilferuf wartet?

Gebet: „O Jesu, all mein Le-ben bist du, ohne dich nur Tod! Meine Nahrung bist du, ohne dich nur Not. Meine Freude bist du, ohne dich nur Leid. Meine Ruhe bist du, ohne dich nur Streit, o Jesu!“ (GL 472)
