The merciful Samaritan, from the parable of Jesus, is our role model. So we set our talents in this spirit.

We continue the considered word of God

„Ahab war missmu-tig und verdrossen, weil Nabot … zu ihm gesagt hatte: Ich werde dir das Erbe meiner Väter nicht überlassen. Er legte sich auf sein Bett, wandte das Gesicht zur Wand und wollte nicht essen.“

Katechese: Der König Ahab schaute voll Neid auf das schöne Grundstück Nabots. Weil er es nicht bekam, befiel ihn tiefe Traurigkeit. Schließlich führte ihn der Neid dazu, dem Mord Nabots zuzustimmen und sich das frem-de Grundstück widerrechtlich anzueignen. Wir sind eingeladen, unsere unerfüllten Wünsche Jesus zu übergeben, sie innerlich los-zulassen und nicht an der Vergangenheit hängenzubleiben.

Überlegung: Jemand zählte die Depressionen aufgrund unerfüllter Wünsche zu den besten Werk-zeugen des Teufels. - Übergebe ich Jesus all meine Verstimmun-gen und unerfüllten Wünsche? - Bitte ich Jesus um die Gnade der Mitfreude, wenn es jemand besser geht als mir, und um Bewah-rung vor der Schadenfreude im entgegengesetzten Fall?

Gebet: Jesus, hilf mir, alle Widerwärtigkeiten des Alltags anzunehmen und aus Liebe zu Dir aufzuopfern, für die Rettung der Menschheit! Amen.
